Therapy and support

A safe space to understand, express and grow

There are times when a child may need a little more support.

Perhaps they find it hard to manage certain emotions, relate to others, cope with some changes, maintain attention or trust in themselves.

Other times the family simply feels that something is not quite flowing and needs to better understand what is happening.

At Espai Tribu we offer individualised therapeutic support, adapted to the needs, developmental stage and personality of each child.

We do not start only from what is difficult.

We want to get to know the child.

What they enjoy.

What motivates them.

How they communicate.

How they relate to others.

What makes them feel insecure.

And what strengths we can draw on to help them move forward.

How do we work?

Play, expression and the therapeutic bond are an important part of the sessions.

Because in order to support a child, we first need to connect with them and create a space where they feel safe.

From there we can work on different skills and provide resources that help them better understand what they feel and face everyday situations with greater confidence.

Every process is different and adapts to the goals and needs of the child and the family.

What can we work on?

  • Emotional regulation and expression

Helping them identify, understand and express what they feel and gradually develop resources to manage different situations.

  • Self-esteem, confidence and security

Fostering a positive self-image and reinforcing their abilities.

  • Behaviour and boundary management

Trying to understand what lies behind certain behaviours and supporting the child and the family in day-to-day management.

  • Social and relational skills

Working on tools that facilitate communication, relationships with others and participation in different settings.

  • Learning and attention

Providing support when difficulties related to attention, organisation or learning arise.

  • Changes or situations affecting their wellbeing

Supporting them through life events or situations that may cause insecurity, worry or distress.

  • Family guidance

Sharing observations and resources so the family can also better understand what is happening and how to support the child.

How do we begin?

Before planning any support we need to get to know you.

The initial assessment allows us to understand the reason for consultation, get to know the child and gather information about their daily life and environment.

From there we can assess which type of support may be most suitable.

You do not need to have all the answers first

If something concerns you but you are not sure exactly what kind of support your child needs, you can tell us about it.

  • Individual sessions from age 4
  • Initial assessment and personalised support

Still not sure where to start?

It is quite common that, after reading about the different services, you still have doubts about which one might suit your child best.

You do not need to decide before getting in touch.

Tell us how old your child is, what you are noticing, what concerns you or what you would like to work on.

We will listen and help you find the approach or support that makes most sense for you.

Every child has their own path. We are here to walk alongside them.
